Ramdan is the 9th month of the Muslim calendar and is the holiest month in the religion of Islam
During Ramadan, typically 13 and up until your 60's, muslims fast from sun up to sun down.
The purpose of fasting is to reflect on your spiritual self and to cleanse yourself of all your bad deeds.
Girls do not have to fast under cetain conditions but most female Muslims do fast durring Ramadan.
In the holy month of Ramadan there are 2 meals called iftar and suhoor. Iftar is durring the night and suhoor is durring the morning.
Suhoor starts the day and is the meal right before your fast and iftar is the meal after your fast.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, entails fasting from dawn until sunset, fostering spiritual reflection, increased prayer, acts of charity, and community engagement, culminating in the joyous celebrations of Eid al-Fitr.
